Third Trimester

Dear Baby Boy,

We found out that you were a boy and we are so excited to have you in our family! At the moment we found out I think your dad was a little shocked, but I was very excited. I thought that maybe you were a boy since this pregnancy has been different than my pregnancy with your older sister. I felt less nauseous in the beginning (though there was definitely nausea, but it was not as bad as with Juliet). The hallmark of this pregnancy has been mostly fatigue. I have gotten quite a few infections as well and also have caught the stomach flu (from your sister) as well as a couple of colds. Overall though you have felt very much alive inside of me and I feel you kicking strong every night.

About a month ago I was feeling some sciatic nerve pain from you (this happens when babies sit on the nerve that connects your legs to your core). I was having some pretty bad back pain some days and couldn't keep up with your sister. I could barely walk for a few days. Your dad gave me a blessing about a week after it started and it was so special. I felt completely healed that very same night and have not had any more pain since. I have been able to take care of you and your sister, which has been a huge blessing to me. I'm grateful that you will already enter a home where the priesthood is here so that it can bless your life like it has blessed mine.

Your sister, Juliet, is excited to welcome you into our home. We don't know how much she understands about you, but she has felt you kick and I think it makes her excited. She takes care of her baby dolls everyday and loves to talk about babies and meet new babies. We are hoping that she will be a kind, gentle big sister for you and hope to teach her how to help take care of you.

Your due date is April 21st, which is close to your dad's birthday. His due date was originally April 22nd, but he wasn't born until April 30th. We will see what happens for you. I hope you don't make us wait that long. Your Grammie is coming into town on April 18th and only staying for a week, so we hope that you are born sometime in there so she can meet you before she has to leave.

Your dad and I have had a hard time coming up with a name for you. We have started writing down a bunch of options in a table and your dad wants us to rate them. We will see what comes out on top for you. Even though we don't have a name for you, (we didn't for your sister either until after she was born) you are still in our thoughts and we think about you often.

Love you so much!

Mom
